![]() I tried a local FB group that allowed selling/giveaways of fish/supplies/plants but no one responded. ![]() I'd really appreciate some advice & thoughts on the situation! Side note: Bioload was little to none when I had all 6 tetra and the other inhabitants in there, so I don't think that would be a problem, but maybe it's unfair to the fish to keep them in that small of a space with a Betta. should I risk getting more 9 more Embers for a shoal, or should I just wait until he passes & not get anything for this tank (Except more shrimp)? (Trust me, I've tried to give it away for free but no offers/no one with a shoal/school, so I feel bad even saying to wait it out, I just don't know what else to do) That has had me wondering, could they have just had some type of illness or disease, or were they truly stressed in that small of a shoal so all of them but one resilient one died? I'm seriously shocked it hasn't passed due to the stress of the Betta. I don't know HOW he/she has done it, but this little one has made it into present-day (Months and MONTHS after all the others died). The reason I know they were dead & not just hidden was because out of the 5 that disappeared, I found 2 half-eaten carcasses (The snails & shrimp got to them before I could, I physically had to pull the snails off). This cycle basically repeated, very weirdly spaced deaths, 3 weeks to a month for each one. ![]() One disappeared 2 weeks after I got them, and then a month went by and another disappeared. too small of a shoal/school in hindsight) but they slowly were dying off. The reason I have only one is that I originally had 6 (I know. The inhabitants are a Betta (Her name is Lilith), Neocardina shrimp, Ramshorns & a Nerite snail, & ONE Ember Tetra. So here's the story I've got a 10-gallon tank, planted. Want to contribute to our wiki? Request a flair? Please message the mods. New to bettafish?
